#westendblackandwhite
good bones, facelift needed. this house got a complete remodel from top to bottom. it was a labor of love, but oh so worth it to see such a gorgeous finished product. the kitchen is really the gem of the house and set the tone for how the rest of the project unfolded.
i'm not sure if there is a color combo i like more than black and white....throw a little jewel tone green in there and i'm a goner.
this kitchen went from dark and heavy (dark wood all over), to bright but grounded. plus, we made it functional for entertaining. there was room for a handsome island/prep space for people to gather, and where there was once a washer and dryer (yes, in the kitchen, and no, not stackable, and no, not behind closed doors....literally in the kitchen) there now sits a lovely banquette for seating.
here is your proof that black and white does not have to mean stark and boring. this kitchen is anything but.
the bathrooms also got a complete overhaul with custom cabinetry, new tile (including one of my favorite tile patterns) and some real pretty, polished hardware. we kept everything very clean, very simple, very timeless. the master bedroom was revamped with an added walk-in closet and a crisp set of custom white built-ins, which worked to warm up the space and create more uses for an otherwise empty area near the large set of windows.
i hope you enjoy :)
