this home.....it was a whirlwind. we did the majority of the remodel in 6 weeks, thanks to a good floor design, a good contractor and some homeowners that made quality, quick decisions. they were up for anything, which is music to any designer's ears.
so, the cool thing about this project was that we reused all of the cabinets in the entire kitchen. as in, most of the cabinets are in entirely different places from where they began. they were literally ripped out, repurposed and positioned appropriately to fulfill our dream floor plan. what was a peninsula became an island, what was a corner cabinet on one end of the kitchen was shifted over to the other, etc. i will admit, i had some serious anxiety dreams about this, but it was really important to the homeowners, and i must say, it totally worked.
we are basically channeling the lorax at this point.
